We have an opportunity to join our Client within the nuclear industry as a PACKAGE MANAGER (Painting Contracts and Fire Boarding / Stopping)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Management of work packages/systems and support to the Management Team in the successful delivery of the project.
Co-ordinating delivery of multi-discipline work packages through all phases of the project, i.e. engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
Assuming ‘cradle to grave’ accountability for a work package(s)
Ensuring all changes are identified and managed, and configuration control is maintained,
Leading the package team to ensure key project milestones are met in accordance with timescale, budget and quality
Acting as key contact for and manage interfaces with external Subcontractors and design houses engaged
Managing external contracts in support of package implementation
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience of managing packages of work on EPCC projects or similar
Proven track record of successfully working on NEC3 projects
Experience in Earned Value Management
Experience in Project / Customer Reporting
Qualification in Project Management preferable
Experience and demonstrated abilities of working as part of a collaborative team, in a multi-discipline environment
Experience in delivery of CS&A / Mech design and installation projects desired
Experience within nuclear sector
Hold a minimum HNC or equivalent
DESIGN TOOLS // SOFTWARE
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Understanding of planning software such as Primavera P6 an advantage
