The Safety & Security Executive will drive the hotel's asset protection, safety, and shortage awareness and prevention initiatives. In addition, this role should maintain a good relationship with the local administration.
Additionally you are to protect and look after the guests, team members, properties of the company and contractors, visitors and to instil the awareness among the workforces and maintain hotel’s standard as per OSHA 1994 regulation as to create a safer work place with less injuries / accidents involving guest/team member where higher standard of work and service can be achieved for the benefit of the organization as well as the guest.
What will I be doing?
As the Safety & Security Executive, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
1. Enforce OSHA rules relating to occupational safety and health to prevent occupational injury or illness to guests, employees, contractors and visitors
2. Inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, equipment, substance, appliance, process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person
3. Overall Risk Management process and program implementation
4. Carry out HIRARC; which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting safety & health and business
5. Implementing safety & health (OSHA 1994) measures
6. Investigate any incident, accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational disease which occur in the workplace
7. Collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident/incident and prepare reports
8. Ensure all Fire Fighting Equipment & System and Security system are well maintained and functioning
9. Liaise and submit reports to DOSH on any reported accidents
10. Serves as Secretary of OSHA Committee
11. Ensure the hotel is in congruence with BOMBA regulation for annual Fire
Certificate renewal
