We are currently looking for a Application Release/Change Manager (Customer Assurance)

What you’ll do:
• Manage maintenance patch/release lifecycle:
• o Work with development and QA teams on release planning and scoping;
• o Review release planning and scoping with customer and adjust it as required;
• o Control release plan and scope during release development, testing and acceptance phases;
• o Supervise and secure proper patch level for the environments;
• o Verify patch/release documentation package and its delivery to the customer;
• o Track and set up ad-hoc changes, such as hot fixes and data fixes;
• Manage maintenance patch/release deployment:
• o Work with IT Deployment, development and QA teams on release deployment plan;
• o Review release planning with customer and adjust it as required;
• o Assure that release deployment plan is complete and all involved teams are informed and prepared;
• o Request maintenance window for the environment and document it as required;
• o Manage deployment plan end-to-end: manage all individuals involved in deployment, handle customer communication, resolve unexpected situations, report on the deployment plan progress and completion;
• o Manage ad-hoc changes to the environments, including hot fixes and data fixes;
• Manage environments:
• o Administer environments and regulate environment usage between teams;
• o Create and maintain deployment schedule for all environments;
• o Manage 3rd party software products in the scope of the environment;
• Work as part of telecom transformation programs, providing wide range of services, such as delivery, application support, hosted or remote managed services;
• Be a single point of contact for the implementation and support teams on release scope and deployment plans;
• Manage internal and external technical communications and task flows around software delivery process, carry out technical meetings, phone calls, conferences, presentations;
• Build good relationship with customer and technical team.
What we are looking for:
• Higher technical education;
• 3+ years of experience as a developer/lead developer/QA Lead/technical manager;
• 1+ years technical management experience (preferably in software application support);
• Knowledge of SW development/implementation methodology (Agile, Waterfall);
• Experience with CI/CD systems (such as Jenkins);
• Experience with version control systems (SVN, GIT) is preferable;
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines;
• Spoken and written English C1 (other languages considered a plus);
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to assume a leadership role; owning the job;
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; quick learner;
• Consistently sound level of judgment and professional conduct;
• Willingness and ability to travel.
Would be a plus:
• Knowledge of OSS/BSS solutions;
• Enterprise software or telecommunications background;
• Experience of the project or service management;
• Knowledge/experience in the following state-of-the-art concepts and technologies: NFV, SDN, Cassandra, Ignite, Kafka, REST API, microservices;
• Work experience with cloud solutions;
• Knowledge of Java/J2EE/Spring or MS.NET framework;
• SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Database; reading and writing SQL queries;
• Weblogic application server;
• Unix knowledge (at least on a beginning user level).
