As a Global Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in procuring transportation resources to meet the company's global shipment needs efficiently and cost-effectively. Through strategic relationship management and operational oversight, you will drive optimization initiatives and ensure seamless logistics operations.
Job Description:
1. Develop and execute strategies for procuring air capacity in line with the company's international shipment schedule.
2. Manage and develop productive relationships with international airlines and freight forwarders.
3. Collaborate with airlines and freight forwarders to allocate cargo space and jointly manage operational irregularities.
4. Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize air cargo operations and resolve logistical challenges proactively.
5. Analyze operations and recommend innovative solutions to streamline processes and achieve cost efficiencies.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree or above, major in logistics, transportation, or related fields is a plus.
2. 5+ years of work experience, with experience in air transportation routes and operations in airlines or freight forwarding industry, familiar with European and American air transportation routes.
3. Proficiency in navigating the logistics market dynamics; previous experience in route management is desirable.
4. Ability to work under pressure and manage logistics during high demand periods.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically and adapt quickly to changes.
6. Demonstrable negotiation skills for managing relationships with vendor companies.
7. Fluent in both English and Mandarin
