Job Description Summary
The University of Kansas Cancer Center is seeking an individual to collect, abstract, review, document and monitor clinical data related to assigned oncology clinical research projects.
This is a part time position. We are looking for a person interested in working 20 hours/week during regular office hours on a consistent basis for up to one year.
This position will be located at our Westwood campus: 2330 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Westwood, Kansas. This position will be onsite 100% of the time. (This is not a benefits eligible role.)

Job Duties Outlined:
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
• Responsible for overall knowledge of protocols as assigned.
• Maintain screening/enrollment logs for each assigned protocol.
• Conduct clinical trial in accordance with ICH/CFR/GCP and responsible for all data completion; query resolution for assigned protocols.
• Research and resolve data discrepancies; coordinate final database closure activities and participate in customer audits and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and work experience that equals at least 2 years.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.
Skills
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, common medical conditions, and medications.
• Must be detail-oriented with good organizational skills to handle multiple priorities. Strong ability to prioritize work.
• Strong level of confidentiality due to the sensitivity of materials and information handled.
• Ability to work independently, be self-directed and flexible.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills and clinical data entry. Strong communication as evidenced by application materials.

Compensation Statement
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
