The Speech Language Pathologist works under the direction of the Coordinator, Speech, Language and Hearing to provide a broad range of high standard speech-language pathology services to support people across the life-span in managing communication challenges, feeding and swallowing. The postholder is accountable for determining the needs of clients through speech-language screening and assessment, diagnosis, and intervention, as well as education, advocacy and administrative management for the duration of service. They will be also accountable for client-centred consultation and collaboration with families, care givers, educators, doctors, psychologists and other professionals.
Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech Language Therapy or equivalent together with three (3) years relevant speech-language clinical experience inclusive of work with a variety of therapeutic approaches pertaining to individuals across the lifespan (i.e. early intervention, school aged children, children with special needs, adults and seniors). The successful applicant must also be registered or eligible for registration with the Bermuda Council for Allied Health Professions and have valid CPR certification.
