About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic finance leader to join our team as EVP of Finance and Business Services at the Esports World Cup Foundation. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and oversight of our business operations, ensuring financial stability, growth, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Planning and Strategy
• Develop and execute financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support the foundation's strategic goals.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and risk management activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards and non-profit accounting practices.
• Leadership and Vision
• Develop and execute the foundation's vision and mission for finance, procurement, IT, and cybersecurity.
• Provide hands-on leadership and actively participate in day-to-day operations and decision-making.
• Help to drive a high-performance culture that embodies flexibility, fast execution, accountability, innovation, and collaboration within finance, procurement, IT, and cybersecurity and the wider organization.
• Procurement and IT
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the foundation's goals and ensure quality, resource allocation, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier management.
• Develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the foundation's goals.
• Oversee IT operations, including infrastructure, data, and support services.
• Cybersecurity
• Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect the foundation's information assets and infrastructure.
• Oversee cybersecurity operations, including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, procurement, cybersecurity, and IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a start-up and non-profit organization or similar environment.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CISM, or equivalent are advantageous.
• Proven track record of driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and cybersecurity excellence.
• Experience in establishing policies and building up fit-to-scale processes and systems in start-up environments.
• Experience in the government sector within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations specific to non-profits.
• In-depth knowledge of IT systems, digital transformation, and cybersecurity.
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia with a deep understanding of the local legislative and regulatory environment.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with government authorities and other stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on approach coupled with customer-centric mindset: willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day operations and decision-making.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
