About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Category Leader to join our Amazon GCC Hardlines team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing team of Vendor Managers.
Key Responsibilities
• Business Growth and Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to drive profitable growth and expansion of our Hardlines category.
• Vendor Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executive teams from top vendors, negotiating contracts and pricing, and developing promotions.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Vendor Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of the business, including gathering and addressing customer and vendor feedback, price management and business improvement initiatives.
• Strategic Direction: Set goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
• Representation and Collaboration: Represent Amazon in high-level meetings with internal and external executives, collaborating on necessary systems and processes to support business needs.
• Innovation and Improvement: Generate and implement big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale within the category and across the Retail business.
About You
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Category Leader with a proven track record of driving business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and leading high-performing teams. You will possess a deep understanding of the retail industry, including vendor management, marketing, operations, and finance.
Requirements
• 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience using data to influence business decisions.
• Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
• 5+ years of Excel experience.

• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
