Key purpose of role

The A&R manger acts as a key person to support Universal Music Korea’s Artist & Label department’s creative direction along with developing the artist roster.

Reporting directly to Artist & Label director, he/she is responsible for supporting artist signing and driving the creatives, brandings, and directions for artists.

He/she should have networks and understandings on the general production industry, along with a subculture and fashion scene, due to the nature of the department’s direction.

Responsibilities:
• Support and manage signing artists.
• A&R and manage the creatives of artists’ music releases.
• Manage and control the quality of artists’ brandings.
• Be responsible for the backend / metadata matters of the artists’ releases.
• Support the branding of the label and direction.
• Be assertive to the artists’ creatives.

Requirements
• Degree qualification with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in A&R, artist or talent management experience.
• Familiar with and interested in a subculture, fashion, music, events, visuals, and merch.
• A great communication skill.
• A bi-lingual is a plus.
• An experience in fashion and brand is a plus.
