THE POSITION:
We have an exciting opportunity for a licensed MRI Technologist to join our team, to support the installation and operation of our new Philips 1.5T scanner, and to contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients through advanced medical imaging technology.

JOB TYPE:
Full-Time. For the right candidate this position can be negotiated as a 12-month fixed term contract or as an open-ended contract. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
• Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Be in possession of a License, Registration, or Certification from an appropriate medical governing body or council.
• Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience preferable with Philips systems.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high quality diagnostic images and post-processing reformats
• Proven experience operating, maintaining and troubleshooting MRI and ancillary equipment
• Knowledge and experience with CT systems is advantageous
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Aware of and conforms with established standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
• Knowledge of Radiation Regulations.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Carrying out general and specialized MRI radiographic procedures within the scope of competence as agreed with the G.M. of Medical Services and the Imaging Clinical Lead to high technical and quality standards.
• Preparing and assessing patients for MRI including MRI safety screening, obtaining contrast consent, and confirm exam validity.
• Interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
• Scanning a variety of cases, including neuro, musculoskeletal, abdominal, angiographic, breast and prostate patient.
• Completing examination processes by image review, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via PACS.
• Having knowledge of and dutifully following MRI safety practices for the protection of the patient, colleagues and self.
The role of Imaging Manager would include the additional responsibility for the overall operational planning, coordination, scheduling and administration of Medical Imaging Services in support of our healthcare mission.
