A day in the life of a Director:
At Skylark Junior School, the Gospel really is the center of all we do!
In the role of Director you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
Provide overall vision, management and leadership to Skylark Junior school activities
Provide professional representation for Skylark junior school with government officials, dignitaries, other NGOs, funding agencies, and visitors
Maintain awareness and communicate legal and cultural requirements and ensure reasonable compliance of Skylark junior school
Ensure proper financial accounting and monthly reporting of all funds and financial activity
Monitor potential and present emergencies and keep Skylark junior school informed of events, including crisis response options
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

Ability to keep the focus of work on the overall goal of sharing the Gospel
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work well in a diverse team and a pressured environment
Flexibility and adaptability
12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies
Job Location: Director will base in your country,
Type: Full-Time
Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)
Accompaniment: Family Accompaniment
Travel Expectations: Frequent travel to Uganda

Background of School
Skylark Junior School, a Christian-founded institution established in 2016, is located in Kkona, Kavumba, within Wakiso District, Uganda. Driven by a powerful vision to provide quality education for vulnerable and disadvantaged children, Skylark offers a safe haven for those who would otherwise have limited access to learning opportunities.
We are actively seeking passionate International Directors who are eager to join hands with Skylark Junior School to drive meaningful change in this community. As part of our mission, we aim to not only expand our school but also introduce transformative projects that will benefit the broader community. These include:
Constructing a hospital to offer accessible healthcare to the local population.
Building a vocational school to equip young people with skills for self-sustainability.
Expanding our current school facilities to better serve our students.
Supporting 220 orphans with education, housing, food, and other basic necessities.
