Job Summary: The Engineering Services Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining all production equipment and machinery in optimal working condition. This role will involve planning preventive maintenance, overseeing repairs, and managing the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
Key Duties and Responsibilities: The Engineering Services Supervisor will oversee:
• Equipment Maintenance
• Spare Parts Management
• Safety and Compliance
Duty/ Responsibility
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all production equipment.
• Ensure prompt response to machinery breakdowns to minimize production delays.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, ensuring critical parts are always in stock.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of parts and services.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with operational safety standards.
• Supervise the maintenance team, including mechanical and electrical technicians.
• Train team members on troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Experience – At least 5-7 years of experience in a maintenance role preferably within the food processing industry.
• Knowledge of food safety standards – Understanding of HACCP, ISO 22000, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to ensure maintenance procedures align with food safety requirements
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Certifications in Maintenance Management such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), or similar qualifications in maintenance planning are an added advantage
