PART TIME Band 6 Inpatient Occupational Therapist - Northamptonshire

We have a fantastic opportunity for a locum Occupational Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in Northamptonshire. They are seeking a qualified OT with previous Inpatient experience to ideally work 2 to 3 days a week.
Job Description
The role involves working in an integrated multi professional inpatient team that includes physiotherapists, occupational therapist, ward matron, nurses, unregistered staff including therapy assistants, medical staff and wider trust colleagues. The post holder will need to provide quality care for a group of patients, specialising in inpatient rehabilitation stepping down from acute hospitals and step up from the community
The role involves leading on all aspects of physiotherapy and delivering of high quality therapeutic interventions that meets the needs of the patients. This will involve in developing, planning, implementing and evaluating the intervention prescribed
The role entails extensive involvement in ensuring patients are discharged safely which involves close working with colleagues from other services and liaison with family members and leading and participating in progress meetings.
The post holder will have their own caseload, working with indirect supervision and work part of the MDT team.
Position Requirements
• HCPC Registered
• Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
• Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within an Inpatient setting
