Our coaching inn client sits in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and is lucky to also have the Lake District National Park, Cumbria and Lancashire as its immediate and very accessible neighbours.

We are looking for a Deputy General Manager to join their senior team. The successful candidate for this position will be someone who is passionate about hospitality and loves what they do. Positive energy and enthusiasm are essential requirements.

Ideally, you will be a foodie who is passionate about the restaurant side of the hospitality business.

The Inn is a magnet for foodies who love the British cooking style and creative techniques which are inspired by the Chef Patron’s rich Japanese and German heritage, love of seasonal local produce, fish and seafood and rare breed cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry, which are sourced from across the North of England.

In addition to the 2 AA Rosette awarded restaurant, the inn also has sleek, elegant, bedrooms and pub / bar which is filled with warmth and character. The place oozes welcome and charm!

This employer believes in, and encourages, a healthy work-life balance. You will be working 45 hours per week, over 4 days normally, with no split shifts. You also get Christmas off!

If you don’t already live locally, temporary live-in is available while you look for your own place.

Your new job
• Managing all day-to-day activities of the coaching inn.
• Maintaining, and exceeding the high standards
• Exceeding guest expectations.
• Staff management, development and focus.
• Driving revenue and maximising profitability.
• Maximising all sales opportunities.
• Hands on approach to management (leading from the front).
• Work closely with the owners to manage the business!

About you
• A background in hospitality management.
• Enthusiasm and energy – you should love what you do.
• A friendly, outgoing, energetic and ambitious team player.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Happy to step in to and get hands on in any department as and when
• Ideally a foodie with a passion for the restaurant side of the business.

Salary and benefits
• Starting salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per year.
• Share of service charge (currently equates to £3,000 to £4,000 per year).
• 4 day / 45 hour working week and no split shifts.
• Free meals on duty.
