We are looking for an Accountant.

Responsibilities :
• Financial Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Ensure all transactions are documented, authorised, and properly recorded in accounting software.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Generate financial reports for management and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Taxation and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with Tanzanian tax laws, including preparing and submitting Value Added Tax (VAT), income tax, Pay As You Earn (PAYE), and other relevant tax filings to the TRA.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors as needed.
• Payroll Management:
• Process employee payroll, ensuring all deductions (PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, etc.) are correctly calculated and paid on time.
• Manage statutory deductions and submit relevant payments to authorities.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning:
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor expenditures and compare actual performance to the budget.
• Bank Reconciliation:
• Reconcile bank statements with company accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or accounting issues.
• Audit Support:
• Coordinate internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and support.
• Implement audit recommendations to improve financial practices and internal controls.
• Cash Flow Management:
• Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and manage cash disbursements for operational needs.
• Maintain petty cash and ensure proper documentation of cash transactions.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process invoices and payments to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage collections and maintain accounts receivable records.
• General Administrative Tasks:
• Perform general administrative and financial tasks as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations in Tanzania
