About the Role: As General Manager, you will be the driving force behind the success of the plant, leading a team and ensuring all contractual obligations are met. You'll have full responsibility for operational excellence, financial profitability, and strategic growth. With the plant undergoing significant renovations, you'll be the key player in delivering a state-of-the-art facility that powers the region for years to come. This role is based in Brazzaville, with direct reporting to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and execute the company's vision and strategy, transforming it into reality.
• Be the face of the company, building strong relationships with top government officials, regulatory bodies, and key industry partners.
• Oversee the entire plant renovation, ensuring high-quality execution and operational success.
• Manage the company's day-to-day operations, including HR, Finance, and Sales, while maintaining regulatory and legal compliance.
• Drive financial growth by monitoring performance, controlling costs, and identifying new revenue opportunities.
• Foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and collaboration among your team.
• Be the architect of change - continuously improve processes, optimize operations, and implement best practices.
Why You Should Apply: This role offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape the future of renewable energy in Africa. You'll be leading a project with enormous potential, working in one of the continent's most dynamic sectors, and making a lasting impact on the local community and beyond. Plus, you'll benefit from a competitive expat package, including a salary between €10,000 and €13,000 per month, along with other benefits.
What We're Looking For:
• Master's degree or Bac +5 in engineering or business administration.
• Extensive experience in hydroelectric power, with a track record of success in leadership roles.
• Strong background in managing large-scale projects, ideally in Africa or emerging markets.
• Expertise in managing hydro concessions and power purchase agreements.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A strategic thinker who can inspire teams and drive innovation.
Make Your Mark: This is your chance to lead a pioneering project and play a key role in Africa's sustainable energy future. If you're an ambitious leader with a passion for renewable energy, don't miss this exciting opportunity!
