Job Description
The Sr. Manager, IT Systems is responsible for managing the IT Infrastructure Platform team, overseeing the IBMi and Nutanix platforms, including Windows, Linux, and ESX environments. This role is crucial to ensuring the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of these platforms, supporting Worldpac's mission-critical business applications. The individual will oversee system availability 24/7 and manage critical incidents to resolution, collaborating with internal teams and third-party vendors.
Location: South Brunswick, Dallas, or Remote (ideally in central or eastern time zone)
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure Platform teams, ensuring effective support and maintenance of IBMi Compute, Storage and Nutanix platforms.
• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and administration of these platforms.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the platforms by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures and compliance protocols.
• Monitor system performance, perform regular updates, and manage system backups to ensure business continuity.
• Develop and enforce best practices, policies, and procedures for system administration and operations, including periodic disaster recovery exercises.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in a timely manner to maintain system health and security.
• Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop project plans, set project goals, and oversee their execution to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Ability to develop team members, enhancing their skills and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Champion the change management process to manage risk and prevent system disruptions that impact revenue.
• Be an team player, and collaborate effectively with other IT teams and departments to resolve complex IT issues affecting end users, branches, and distribution centers (DCs).
• Act as an escalation manager for areas of responsibility, being available after hours for escalations/resolutions if needed.
• Enhance documentation and assist with the automation of mundane operations procedures
• Experience with building technology roadmaps and presenting them to senior management to recommend laying out short-term and long-term strategies.

• Stay current with industry trends and advancements to ensure the platforms leverage the latest technologies and best practices.
Skills:
• Proficiency in IBMi, PowerHA, IASP, and IBM enterprise-grade storage platforms.
• Expertise with IBMI ecosystem tool sets like Fortra, OpenText, etc.
• Experience managing teams that support Windows and Linux administration on a Nutanix platform.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to perform problem isolation, definition, resolution, and follow-up for system, application, and customer problems.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and thrive in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and manage geographically distributed team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in IT systems management, with a strong focus on project management and leadership.

Compensation Range
130,500.00 USD PER YEAR - 152,250.00 USD PER YEAR
