Production Supervisor
Location: Burnaby, BC, Canada
Hours of Work: 6:00 - 2:30 pm OR 7:00 - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday (5 days/week on-site)
Company Overview: Greenlight Innovation is a global leader in engineering and manufacturing of hydrogen fuel cell testing and hydrogen electrolyzer equipment for the alternative energy industry. We are committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability, and we are looking for a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary: The Production Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing processes, ensuring that production meets quality standards and deadlines. This role involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating with other departments, and implementing continuous improvement practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the production team, including training, performance evaluation, and setting performance standards.
• Plan and assign work schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and timely completion of production targets.
• Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to synchronize production processes with overall operational goals.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase output.
• Maintain accurate production records and provide regular reports to upper management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper maintenance and operation of production equipment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years proven experience in a production supervisory role within an engineered product manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Technical proficiency with production machinery and software used for production management.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma etc. is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software.
• Experience in reading blueprint (CAD) is a plus.
Salary: $105,000- $125,000.
