Qualifications:
• The right candidate for this role will be able to carry out a variety of routine clerical tasks while adhering to established procedures.
• Performs duties such as answering and directing calls, taking messages, and providing basic information. Meets and greets patients and visitors, provides directions, and answers basic inquiries.
• Answer, screen and direct all incoming phone calls to the appropriate party in a timely manner.
• Keeps the office and its public spaces tidy and safe (copy room, kitchen, conference).
• Get everyone some refreshments and show them where the restrooms are.
• Transports incoming mail and outgoing communication to the appropriate people at the clinic.
• Supports office continuity by documenting and communicating activities, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
• Everyday clerical duties are carried out as needed. A personal computer may be used for simple communication, data entry, and the printing of letters, labels, reports, and other documents.
• Creates, organizes, maintains, and/or processes records and/or documents.
• Making copies and/or sending facsimiles to the clinic staff as needed.
Skills:
• Necessary Experience Three years of experience in administrative, clerical, or related work is required.
• Medical and pharmacy software use are examples of computer skills that should be present and accounted for.
• Capable of drafting and printing standard documents such as letters, labels, etc.
• Preferable is six months' worth of experience working in a dental or medical clinic.
