Our client is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Quality Officer to ensure the quality and compliance of all laboratory operations within a clinical setting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance in all laboratory procedures.
Responsibilities
• Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:
• Develop, implement, and maintain the laboratory's QMS.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and continuous improvement of laboratory quality practices.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards.
• Prepare for internal and external audits.
• Quality Control and Assurance:
• Oversee QC processes and analyze QC data.
• Coordinate and monitor proficiency testing programs.
• Risk Management and Corrective Actions:
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Develop risk management plans.
• Training and Education:
• Conduct training sessions and ensure staff competencies are assessed.
• Develop educational materials.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records and prepare quality performance reports.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with laboratory staff, regulatory bodies, and external auditors.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in quality assurance or quality control.
• Experience working within a laboratory accredited to ISO 15189 or similar standards.
This role is based in a clinical laboratory and may require occasional travel. The Quality Officer will work closely with laboratory staff, regulatory authorities, and external auditors
