Job Profile
We have exciting opportunities for Electrical Technicians to join our dynamic Team to enhance our effectiveness and efficiency for the reparation, installation, and maintenance of related equipment within reasonable time and to ensure quality service.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics.
• Deal with all types of cables and sizes of conductors and bus bars used on various types of electric lighting and power installations and electric machines.
• Work on poles, fixing arms, insulators, brackets, cable fuses, and running and regulating overhead lines.
• Perform complete pre-wiring of both Distribution and Control electrical panels.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electrical and electronic components in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in carrying out interventions by correcting faults in products and related components or replacing defective parts or components.
• Any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualification & Experience:
• Holder of a School Certificate.
• NC1 or NC2 qualified.
• Previous experience in a similar position would be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude:
• Knowledge of electrical systems.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.
• Keep accurate records of installation, maintenance and repair tasks, and this documentation is necessary for troubleshooting, auditing and compliance purposes.
• Detail Oriented.
• Good Team Player.
• Good communication, organisational and time management skills.
• Problem solving skills.
