Typical Work Activities: (Illustrative only)
Participates in routine cleaning tasks and pool maintenance activities;
Confers with appropriate supervisory staff, secures instructions for special events and
programs;
Responsible for cleaning pool deck, walls of pool, shower areas, locker room and all
other related areas;
Makes periodic inspection and minor repairs of pool facility and equipment;
Orders, receives, stores and dispenses need cleaning supplies;
Insures that bathrooms and showers have necessary supplies (soap, toilet paper, towels);
Confers with supervisory staff on performing water chemistry tests and recording the
results.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from High School or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma and
one (1) year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a public or private
indoor/outdoor recreational facility including a pool.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a current Westchester County Department of Health Pool Operator's
License, or the National Pool and Spa Operators Certificate
