We’re looking for
Summer Interns (Bermuda)
Hamilton Re is our Bermuda-based company which provides both reinsurance and insurance across property, casualty and specialty lines globally.
This Bermuda-based internship provides an exciting opportunity to spend 8-10 weeks gaining valuable insight, knowledge & skills in the world of insurance and reinsurance. You will have the opportunity to work across various teams and departments and have responsibility for your own projects.
This internship would suit undergraduate students, and/or those who might be looking for entry level opportunities in the coming year and would benefit from an introduction to the Re/insurance industry.
What your internship will include
• A combination of on-the-job learning and formal development through which you will gain work experience and transferable skills to aid you in future career decisions
• Rotations across several of Hamilton Re’s departments, exposing you to various aspects of the business
• Insight into our business operations through working with many professionals across multiple disciplines
• Participation in a range of business projects
• Running and owning a project with our support, with the opportunity to present the outcomes to Hamilton executives at the end of the programme
What you require for the role
• Completion of two years of an undergraduate level programme at time of internship
• A keen and demonstrable interest in the Insurance and/or Reinsurance industry
• A willingness to learn and to push the limits of your knowledge and skill in a fast-paced, innovative and exciting environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Team player but able to work on your own initiative
• Open, innovative and inclusive mindset
• Collaborative spirit
• Bermudian citizenship or Bermudian status
