Job Summary

As a seasoned Technical Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to join our team in Doha, Qatar, based in the customer office at Qatar Gas headquarters. This role offers a unique blend of technical expertise and customer-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Technical Support: Provide skilled-level engineering support for current customer contracts, key field product applications, and completion product performance.
• Documentation and Training: Develop and review Technical Operating Manuals, Hook up drawings, Operating Procedures, and other technical documents with customers and the Houston Engineering team.
• Equipment Specifications and Compatibility: Determine equipment specifications, ratings, drawings, and running procedures for the sales team based on customer requirements.
• Technical Training and Support: Provide technical training to customers and BHGE employees as needed.
• Well-Specific Job Design: Assist with well-specific job design based on applications and review with customers before handover to operations.
• Tendering and Proposal Support: Assist with technical requirements during the pre-tendering phase and provide technical proposals for tender submissions.
• New Technology Introduction: Collaborate with product lines to introduce new technologies and implement them.
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Provide engineering support for troubleshooting rig operations and investigate unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative action.
• Compliance and HSE: Conduct all business activities in accordance with BHGE HSE policies and legal compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years of related experience.
• Desired Characteristics:
• Exceptional knowledge of Wellbore Construction products, including Open Hole Fishing, Wellbore Clean Out, Remedial and Simulation, Through Tubing Inflatables, Wellbore Intervention, and Casing Exits.
• Knowledge of open hole and cased hole completions systems.
• Thorough understanding of downhole hydraulics, Torque & Drag, Tubemove Models, and MS Office applications.
• Able to work with little supervision and to work well with the team.
• Good time management skills.
• Proficient use of computer-based programs related to product applications.
• Good problem-solving skills.
