Job details

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate student to spend a sandwich placement with Cumbria Wildlife Trust and our Peatlands Team.

A diverse and exciting opportunity to champion peatlands and take part in leading innovative conservation works to support nature’s recovery. You’ll gain skills and experience in environmental management whilst exploring and learning on some of our most remote sites.

The opportunity will be highly varied so the successful candidate will be well placed for a future career in nature conservation. Full training will be provided, including career development and outdoor first aid training, alongside our bursary package.

It is expected that the placement will start around end of June 2023 for a 10-month period (dates flexible). The successful student will join us 4 days a week to enable them to fulfil the requirements of their degree.

Due to the nature of the work a full driving licence and your own transport are essential. Travel expenses are provided.
