GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the implementation of pharmacy initiatives derived from regulations, new industry trends, and the company's
strategic plans. Streamline information flow and communications among internal and external key stakeholders. Reports to the
Management Team on the progress of initiatives and implementations. Oversees and spearheads the efforts to ensure the
attainment of high-level initiatives. Responsible for conducting initiative road mapping and annual planning processes to ensure
appropriate management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Evaluate, identify, present, and conduct the implementation of initiatives related to pharmacy initiatives, ensuring
compliance with regulatory agencies, and facilitating the attainment of corporate and departmental goals and
objectives.
• Establishes a detailed work plan for each project, consisting of the corresponding implementation phases, projected
time frames, process owners, and status documentation; among others, to ensure attainment of initiatives.
• Oversee implementation of key pharmacy initiatives and projects as assigned. Provide recommendations to achieve
the expected results for the initiatives. Monitors pharmacy initiatives critical for the organization to ensure that all
the work plans and tasks are being executed on time.
• Handles the development of the initiative’s implementation annual planning processes.
• Identify, analyze, synthesize, and interpret information necessary for implementations, and assessments of initiatives
or vendors, highlighting the critical choices, and assumptions the management team should be aware of.
• Serve as liaison between Pharmacy Benefits Managers (PBM’s), Delegate Entities, and other departments of the
company to ensure a streamlined implementation of initiatives, including change management and transition to
operations.
• Ensures appropriate metrics are in place to measure performance and progress towards goals.
• Assesses the performance, results, and effectiveness of the initiative, as well as identifies gaps, development, and/or
corrective action needs toward initiative-related processes, operations, and/or personnel.
• Conducts market and industry research using both internal and external sources, analyzes, compares with the
current initiative and requirement, and provides input of the resulting information and recommendations to the
business for decision-making, and project plan.
• Develop written materials, policies and procedures, presentations, training, letters, scripts, and questions and
answers in support of pharmacy initiatives implementations.
• Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as
with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.
• May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and
experience contained in this document.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health System Administration, or related fields. At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the implementation of budget initiatives in the Healthcare industry, market industry research, Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), or similar roles.

Certifications / Licenses:
• A valid Pharmacy Assistant license and registration is preferred.
Other: Availability to work on weekends and extended hours, according to operational needs. Knowledge of spreadsheets and computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Formulas, Charting, Work- Flow and Graphs). Knowledge of Medicare Part D is preferred.
