Certified Field Trainer (CFT)

Position Summary:

In addition to regular service duties, the Certified Field Trainer will conduct on-the-job training and provide peer support for new Pest Specialist hires

Primary responsibilities include:
• Field Training New Pest Specialists – conduct on-the-job training with new hires during their first 6 weeks and ensure completion of weekly Field Training Checklists
• Peer Support for New Pest Specialists – conduct weekly check-ins and monthly meet-ups with new hire during their first year and complete associated documentation for records
• Successful completion of Rentokil NA Field Training Certification Program (with biannual recertification)

Additional Job Duties:

As Certified Field Trainer (Trainee’s Weeks 1-6):
• Conduct ride-along for job candidates during the interview process
• Arrive on time and prepared for training
• Effectively train skills and provide ample feedback in a timely manner
• Weekly communication with Trainee’s Manager
• Weekly evaluation and progress sign-off for Field Training Checklists

As Peer Support (Trainee’s Week 6 – 1 Year)
• Develop solid working relationship with Trainee
• Be available by phone (or text) to answer questions from Trainee
• Help shape expectations for Trainee as they go through the different phases of training and onboarding
• Help them make a successful transition from Trainee to productive employee
• Communicate any concerns / issues to Trainee’s Manager
• CFT must be designated as Primary Peer Support; Trainee must be retained for 1 year + 1 day

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Applicant must have the following qualifications:
• At least 1 year with Rentokil North America as a Pest Specialist
• Fully-trained according Rentokil NA Career Advancement Program (Career Level 4 or 5)
• Licensed with appropriate state/province applicator license & categories
• Favorable ratings from most recent Annual Performance Review
• Conducts his/herself in a professional manner
