Overseeing and managing the branch's operational activities, ensuring compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs), efficiency, and organizational standards. This role demands robust leadership capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective coordination with diverse stakeholders. Additionally, it requires strong people management skills to lead, develop, and motivate the branch team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure the branch consistently meets operational KPIs, including system updates, Proof of Delivery (POD) submissions, and delivery performance standards
• Validate branch performance metrics, including Proof of Delivery (POD) performance, delivery efficiency, volume reports, Issues on Delivery (IOD) performance, truck utilization reports, and productivity reports
• Analyze performance metrics and implement corrective actions to achieve KPI targets
• Generate productivity reports and monitor branch performance against established benchmarks
• Evaluate truckers' performance and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), addressing any issues or concerns as necessary
• Conduct performance evaluations for all staff, both permanent and temporary, providing feedback and coaching to drive improvement
• Delegate responsibilities for pickup operations and coordinate personnel assignments according to operational requirements
• Ensure adherence to 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) within the branch premises
• Set clear performance goals and expectations for team members and provide ongoing feedback and support
• Orient suppliers on accreditation requirements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), product handling, and billing processes to ensure compliance with organizational standards and expectations
• Act as the custodian of branch funds, ensuring proper handling and accountability
