Job Description:
Restapedic Bedding, a leading manufacturer of premium quality beds, is seeking an experienced Male Accounts Clerk to join our accounting team with a focus on stores and warehouse operations. Reporting to the Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory records, processing stock-related transactions, and providing financial support to the warehouse and production departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining accurate inventory records, including receipts, issues, and stock balances.
Processing purchase orders, usage variance analysis, goods received notes, and other stock-related documentation.
Conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Assist with the month-end and year-end inventory valuation process.
Liaising with the warehouse and production teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of stock movements.
Preparing reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and other warehouse-related financial metrics.
Processing accounts payable invoices for stock purchases and other warehouse expenses.
Maintaining detailed records and documentation for all financial transactions related to stores/warehouse.
Provide support for the month-end and year-end closing process.
Responding to inquiries from internal departments and external vendors regarding inventory and stock-related issues.
Collaborating with the procurement team to monitor inventory levels and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Participating in the implementation of new inventory management systems or process improvements.
Performing other ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the accountant.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2-3 years of experience as an Accounts Clerk or in a similar role with a focus on stores/warehouse operations
Proficient in using accounting software (e.g.,SAP) and inventory management systems
Strong understanding of inventory control principles and stock management best practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience in the manufacturing or logistics industry is preferred
