Job Summary:
The Branch Head will supervise and monitor all work performed by Branch Staff, grow the Branchs
Loan Portfolio and account for Branch resources in line with the business
strategy, policies and set targets; and the UMRA Laws and regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·Initiate, plan and monitor growth and Quality
of the Branch Loan Portfolio in line with Hofokams Business plan;
·Implement Branch internal controls and
procedures in line with the Institutions policies and UMRA regulations;
·Identify , plan, review and evaluate staff
development and performance needs in line with Hofokams existing HR policies
and guidelines;
·Review, coordinate, monitor and authorize all
the processes of opening, reactivation, transfer and closure of all accounts in
line with Hofokams policies and procedures, KYC guidelines and money
laundering guidelines;
·Coordinate and monitor the process of calling
days work and submit reports in line with the Hofokams savings operations
policies and procedures;
·Conduct regular field visits and carry out
the verification of Loans to improve the Branch loan portfolio quality;
·Generate periodic performance related reports
for Hofokams Management, and other key development partners;
·Train, Coach and mentor staff under his or
her jurisdiction
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·The ideal candidate must hold a first Degree
in any Business Related Field or the equivalent;
·At least 5 years of progressive experience in
the credit or finance operations
·Credit risk awareness: Ability to
conceptualize credit risk inherent in the Institutions lending products and
the ability to contribute to Internal Credit assessments and Portfolio strategy
discussions.
·Legislation: Must be familiar with
legislation and statutory requirements relating to credit approval,
administration and monitoring.
·Conceptual and Analytical Skills: Must be
able to conceptualize issues and analyze credit proposals to great detail to
understand underlying issues.
·Technology Skills: Computer literate with
proficiency in MS office and excel
·Financial Analysis Knowledge: Ability to
comprehend and analyze financial statements in regards to credit risk.
·Knowledge of Business Environment: Must
understand local and global dynamics of the business environments facing
customers, Hofokam and other stakeholders.
·In-depth knowledge in Credit operations;
·Thorough understanding of Hofokams
operational Policies and Procedures;
·Proficiency in Hofokams products and
services;
·Excellent communication skills;
