Job details
We are seeking a Customs Manager for our Tetuan, Morocco location, reporting to the Finance Director for Africa.
This role involves leading customs-related activities for the Tetuan factory and broader in Morocco, working closely with the Manufacturing and Finance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implementing customs strategy in line with company policies and procedures
• Managing customs compliance to ensure continuous compliance with local regulations
• Managing customs-related risks and implementing measures to mitigate them
• Handling customs audits and serving as the primary point of contact for local customs authorities
Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent, with local tax accreditation and/or a Master’s degree in customs or a related field
• At least 5 years of work experience in a similar position in a multinational FMCG organization or a Big 4 tax advisory firm, with in-depth knowledge of local customs regulations and excise legislation
• Excellent English French, and Arabic language skills, as well as proficiency in SAP and MS Office tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish contacts and networks within customs and governmental organizations
