ABOUT THE COMPANY
Baringo County is situated in the Rift Valley Region and shares borders with 8 counties namely, West Pokot to the North West, Turkana to the North, Samburu to the North East, Laikipia to the East, Nakuru to the South, Kericho and Uasin-Gishu Counties to the South West, and Elgeyo-Marakwet to the West. The County is divided into 6 Sub-Counties, namely Baringo South, Mogotio, Eldama Ravine, Baringo Central, Baringo North and Tiaty
JOB SUMMARY
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE APPOINTMENT 1) Bachelor’s Degree in Leather/Technology or Footwear/Leatherwoods, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Animal Science any relevant qualification from a recognized University. 2) Must have at least 2 years’ experience in similar work 3) Computer literate with knowledge on related Computer packages 4) Possess Proposal development skills, 5) Good Communication skills, 6) Report writing skills 7) To have resource mobilization skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Monitoring; and evaluation of ongoing programs on animal by-products 2) Coordinate hide and skins activities; 3) Organize staff training on by-products utilization; 4) Supervision of revenue collection and surrender from issuance of hides and skins licenses; 5) Advice on designs and drawing on hides and skins processing plants; 6) Prepare budgets on hides and skins programmes.

Reporting, Commercial fishing (inland, sea, other), Record keeping, Use of agricultural machinery (harvester, plougher, others)
