Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is looking for a Service Desk Technician to add to our team in Djibouti, Africa. The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, have a positive customer service attitude, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. Specifically, the Help Desk Technician will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows 10 Enterprise network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The HD Tech will be responsible for Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory infrastructure in a mixed Windows environment.

Duties
• Performs a variety of difficult assignments associated with monitoring and controlling computer operating systems.
• Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems.
• Optimizes system operation and resource utilization, and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provides assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
• Sets up and maintains more than one type of computer system such as Open VMS Systems/DSM environments, UNIX systems (SCO and SUN), and Windows systems.
• Analyzes system faults and troubleshoots and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect problems.
• Evaluates and installs developed software during various phases of testing.
• Reviews and prepares documentation for systems, tests and installation of software.
• Investigates and recommends methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration work
• Professional and responsible system administration of Microsoft Windows servers
• Effective communications throughout all levels of operational command
• Experience troubleshooting and administering Microsoft windows 7 desktop systems
• Active directory account creation and administration experience
• Experience with Desktop Support and Troubleshooting
• Experience working with and supporting Cisco Routers and Switches
• Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) Win 10 or Microsoft 365 Certification: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
• CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or greater)
