We are currently looking for a Quality Control Manager to join us at Saipem Luxembourg Angola Branch to support our project.
Position: QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER
Key Responsibilities
• Define the Project Quality Control (QC) System and identify the required project QC plans and procedures in accordance with the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Manage the planning and allocation of QC Supervisor functions across various areas of the project, ensuring proper coordination on-site.
• Oversee the relationships with Clients and Authorities responsible for QC activities
• Ensure communication of all site QC matters, by holding regular meetings with Subcontractors/Client and ensure preparation of the Site QC Reporting
• Ensure application/updating of quality control plans for site works carried out by Subcontractors and check relevant QC procedures, involving site construction management/Client
• Ensure Quality control management tool updating
• Verify that internal/subcontracted tests, controls, inspections are carried out and documented in accordance with site Quality Control Plans, mechanical completion included
• Check completeness of inspection/control/test reports for construction activities and relevant compliance to specified requirements, verifying that they are recorded, filed and traceable
• Verify, jointly with site construction management, that site personnel/Subcontractor personnel hold valid QC Certificates and have suitable equipment, promoting appropriate actions when needed
• Ensure application of the PQMS and site preparation/distribution of the project QC plans/procedures in accordance with the Company QMS
• Ensure, in compliance with Subsidiary's procedures, issue/filing of audit reports, including those relating to follow-up on agreed corrective actions
• Ensure management of nonconformities including checking that responsible functions keep non-conforming products under control
• Promote appropriate actions to prevent or eliminate potential nonconformities and their causes
• Verify set-up/preparation of the Quality section of the final dossier in accordance to project requirements. In case of subcontracted activities, verify that QC records are properly prepared/collected
• Ensure knowledge/awareness of Quality requirements within the Project Team, also performing QC Training activities
• Collect project QC data to be provided to Project Quality Manager, also in view of the Project Quality Management Review preparation
• Support the Project Quality Manager in the management of lesson learned process
• Reports Project QC information/data to Project Quality Manager by means of Corporate methodologies/tools
Qualifications
• Bachelor´s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field
• Knowledge of main Industry standards (ISO,API, ASTM,ASNE,ACI,UPC,AWC, ETC Familiarity
• Proficient in quality management software and reporting tools
Language: Fluent in English e Portuguese
Labour Relationship: Fixed term contract
Years of Experience: Minimum of 8 -10 years.
