Job Description

UNICEF is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Representative Programme Manager to join our team in Angola. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Representative in managing the country programme, ensuring effective programme planning and development, and representing UNICEF in various forums.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Representative in managing the country programme, including programme planning and development, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Represent UNICEF in various forums, including government meetings, donor meetings, and international conferences.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with government, civil society, and private sector organizations to support programme implementation.
• Monitor and evaluate programme progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for enhancement.
• Provide technical guidance and support to programme staff, ensuring effective programme implementation and delivery.
Requirements
• Advanced university degree in social sciences, international relations, government, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in development cooperation, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record of programme management, including programme planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to represent UNICEF in various forums.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, with ability to communicate in other languages as required.
