About the Company:
Our client, a dynamic CA firm, is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper in Glasgow. This role focuses on maintaining excellent client relationships and providing insights to support clients with the growth and success of their businesses. About the Role:
Working closely with the bookkeeping manager, you will play a key role in the firm's bookkeeping department, ensuring assignments are completed to set timescales and budgets. The ideal candidate should have experience in bookkeeping and VAT returns, ideally for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders. They will be a proactive individual who enjoys working within a team and delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
• Bookkeeping entries for client accounts
• VAT Returns preparation
• Accounts reconciliations and month-end adjustments
• Maintaining accurate documentation and regular communication with clients
• Building your technical knowledge and skillset
Skills & Experience:
• 3 years+ experience of bookkeeping and VAT
• Prior experience in accountancy practice would be advantageous, but not essential
• Knowledge of Xero and related bookkeeping apps/systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of bookkeeping processes (including debits and credits, month-end adjustments and accounts reconciliations)
• Knowledge of HMRC rules for VAT returns
Competitive Salary (dependent on experience) + Bonus + Benefits. This role is full time worked over 35 hours, but applications are welcome from part-time candidates as well.
