ICT Support Technician
17.5 hours per week

£24,641 - 26,429 pro rata (including Distant Islands Allowance)
Orkney College UHI is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post. Working alongside the ICT Systems Officer, the postholder will provide first-line technical support and guidance to staff and students on a wide range of hardware and software, as well as assisting to provide appropriate access to ICT resources.
You must be educated to SCQF level 7 in a relevant technical area (e.g., SVQ3 or HNC), and have good knowledge of Microsoft products in particular, and of modern computer and network hardware. You should also have good problem-solving skills to support others.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
