The Rigger is in charge of inspecting, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of all lifting equipment used to transport commodities by crane to or from maritime vessels. Ascertain that the job being done and the equipment being utilized satisfy the Company's safe working requirements.

Qualifications:
• All kinds of supplies, machinery, and/or equipment may be securely transported to and from working platforms, cars, streets, floors, and other levels of buildings or vessels.
• The scope of work includes the installation of hardware to existing structures, hanging pipes, beams, or tracks, and hardware to concrete, steel, wood, and block walls.
• Assisting with the installation of counterweighted, winched, and dead-hung systems by drilling and testing the performance of these components, as well as fastening and securing mule blocks and sheaves.
• This position requires continuous punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in compliance with business requirements.
• When installing, riggers are typically called upon to operate at heights of twelve to sixty feet, which need the usage of safety equipment and even climbing.
• Signals or verbally guides employees involved in raising and shifting goods to ensure worker and material safety.
• Riggers are in charge of rigging large lifting equipment and carefully fastening it using pulleys, ropes, and hoists. During the course of operations, does physical work.
• Planks, fiber ropes, wire ropes, chains, swing scaffolds, and other rigging equipment are all inspected, tested, and maintained.
• Hand and power tools are used to fasten loads to rigging to provide support or to prepare them for transportation.
• Although most rigging installation jobs demand individual initiative and judgment, working as part of a team is crucial.
Skills:
• A valid state-issued motor vehicle driving license is essential for appointments with DOT, and must be maintained for the term of employment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crawl, stoop and/or sit.
• Lifting 10 pounds on a regular basis, Standing, Climbing, Constant Hand Use, Outdoors
• A drug test must be passed before a candidate may be considered for an appointment. While working, riggers are exposed to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Five years of full-time experience as a Rigger performing the duties and responsibilities stated under Duties and Responsibilities during the past 10 years
