Purpose
LegalWise seeks to employ a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an Agency (Independent Contractors) Force, New Business Sales and Processing, Business Development and Support to LegalWise employees.
You will be responsible for:
• Generating sustainable premium income through targeted field sales productivity, in existing and new markets within a geographic trading area.
• Maintain and increase the sales focus on quality Stop Order sales within the Persal / Persol markets.
• Maintain and recruit Independent Contractors to ensure the required manpower quota is achieved.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly agreed productivity is achieved per Independent Contractor. Motivating and addressing any shortfalls per Independent Contractor.
• Ensuring legal compliance with all regulatory bodies.
• Meeting production targets and reporting performance against agreed budget and how will the variances be addressed.
• Meet the minimum quota’s by negotiating and maintaining new and existing payroll deduction facilities. With a penetration plan to achieve the agreed production targets.
• Managing projects, SLA’s.
• Maintaining and improving workflow processes, in consultation with internal departments and the Regional Sales Manager.
• Managing and controlling approved Expense budgets relating to daily operations.
• Ensure that all necessary equipment and merchandise are available and adequately supplied for the sales teams, enabling them to effectively meet their targets and represent the company brand professionally.
• Identifying, developing and implementing new sales channels as agreed.
• Managing your direct reports (LegalWise employees) ensuring they achieve their agreed deliverables.
• Motivating and addressing and shortfalls per direct report.
• Assisting with ad hoc tasks as and when required.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• B-degree, Diploma in sales and marketing or formal sales and marketing qualification
• Accredited Sales Management training qualification
• Courses in management and/or sales management will be an advantage
• Proven Sales Management track record – minimum 2 years in sales management
• With direct reports (Employees)
• With Independent Contractor (reporting to direct reports)
• Proven track record of Stop Order business (proof to be presented at the interview)
• Proven business network.
• Strategic thinking and planning ability - big picture thinking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to liaise professionally and effectively at all levels
• Problem solving abilities and negotiation skills – good judgement
• Well organised individual with good judgement skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license and PrDP
